I've this set since a long time and like I was in a Medieval period... well... I've painted it !
Like Andreas Brüggemann (Kamar Figuren) said : it's a generic army, good for a lot of periods and situations.
I've not really chosen one ! they could be Anglo-Saxons .... Vikings in a raid ?
The pictures are good enough for a banal painting work ...
.... the base is a new one too !
Nice figures and scenery, Sam!
RépondreSupprimerThanks Mike !
SupprimerVery nice figures and scenery, Sam. The figures are portrayed with subtle changes in color; and the pictures are super: foreground shots, front and rear unit shots, the spy hidden in a tree view shot, bird's eye view shots; and all taking place on a well worn mountain trail.
RépondreSupprimerSweet work, Pada!!
Thanks Jay ! too much compliments ... I'm blushing !
SupprimerNice work Sam! These are definitely figures you can get a lot of use out of as they will look at home in a wide time period and in many locations. Excellent pictures too :-)
RépondreSupprimerThanks Paul !
Supprimeryes a lot of uses ... in fact I've not really chosen who they are so they are more like a mix of Anglo-Saxons and Vikings !
Thats a great looking scene. cheers
RépondreSupprimerThanks dear Kiwi !
SupprimerLovely figures and terrain; images like this got me started in the hobby so many years ago.
RépondreSupprimerThanks Dean !
Supprimeryou makes me a great honour but I must confess that when I've started, I was fascinated with some pictures too...
I like how you shot these. Looks like a movie set.
RépondreSupprimerThanks Dear Happy Whisk !
SupprimerI'd some movies images in mind ...
Parece com os Nefitas indo guerrear com os Lamanitas.
RépondreSupprimerAgradável cenário dos guerreiros, cavalos, armas e árvores e o caminho, parece até de verdade.
Parabéns Sam =)
Thanks Nanda ! Unfortunately I don't know who are the Nefites and the Lamanitas but I'm sure that they were great warriors !
SupprimerHola
RépondreSupprimerMAGNIFICA escena si señor
cantidad de buenas minis y gran escenario
un saludo
Great work on the figures and the scene!
RépondreSupprimerThansk Rodger !
SupprimerBrilliant stuff Sam - and well-photographed.
RépondreSupprimerThanks Ser Pendragon !
Supprimer"Banal painting work" !!!
A lovely setup Sam. The Dark Ages are one of my favourite time periods, and this captures the image of a roving warband excellently. Well done.
RépondreSupprimerThanks Sarge ! I begin to love this period too !
Supprimer(they are not my first dark ages figures, but I've more and more pleasure to paint them !)
Sam,
RépondreSupprimerThey're beautiful minis set in an amazing diorama You have an amazing skill.
Nanda brought up characters from best selling American author Joseph Smith.
The Nephites and Laminites were warring descendants of Israelites who traveled to America in wooden submarines. The dastardly Laminites killed all the good Nephites in a war and became the American Indians.
Thanks ! I could have done a research about that story .... I'm lazy sometimes !
SupprimerLooks like an interesting story !
I've read some more about Joseph Smith and the Mormons !
SupprimerIt's strange for me to think that the Native Americans could be Hebrews ! and that they are descendants of a "bad people" , it gives an idea of how the Indians were considered at this period of American History .
Great scene, are they Strelets figures?
RépondreSupprimerThanks Alister !
Supprimerno STRELETS, they are from KAMAR figuren (link in the post)
http://kamar-zinnfiguren.de/de/Massstab-1-72/Figuren-1-72/1-72-Figuren--Zinn-Resin/KAMAR-Figuren-1-72/
(middle ages range) I've painted some other sets from this manufacturer , you can see them with the label "KAMAR" .
Strelets have some excellent sets of dark ages (especially Anglo-saxons ) , I've painted some like those ones : http://samsminisworld.blogspot.fr/2012/08/anglo-saxons-before-battle-strelets.html .
And I would like to find time to paint some more of them !
Into 2015 with a bang. Superb, you set a good scene.
RépondreSupprimerExcellent work Pascal! You're getting better and better!
RépondreSupprimerGreetings
Peter
Saxons they are,and painted with style! BB
RépondreSupprimerThanks Paul ! Yes I think that they are Saxons.... searching for some Vikings !
