"Anglo-Saxons Before Battle" (STRELETS)

I've finished my first STRELETS Anglo-Saxons set! (M050 PSR)
a quite nice set with 14 poses, it's enough to place in front of the "Normans Before Battle"  !!!
It's not a great painting job... but it was before I decided to re-use my magnifier glass !
(and the closed pictures don't serve me!)
Now, I'll do a break with the "Dark Ages", I've too much to do !

J'ai fini mon premier set STRELETS d'Anglo-Saxons! (M050 PSR)
"Normans Before Battle" !

Do you see the "strange" helmet and the sword of this guy?

    1. Thanks Gowan!
I think that some Anglo-Saxons had "found" some Romans equipment from the Romans who were in their country before! so, it's not so strange, in fact!

    2. states that it happened often (every time) to wear equipment other armies, taken in battle. In this case there is some difference in age, but the sagacious Sam has already stated that Roman helmet "was recovered and reused." Good job Sam!

    3. Thanks Michele! sagacious? maybe, but it's more a question of logic: all could be re-used, even in the "West-Islands-World"!

    3. Don't worry David!... but when you're not very happy of a work, better to have some humility!
      it's a way to improvement.

  8. Nice painted Strelets! I don't have figures from strelets in my collection, because imho they have some odd looking sets, but your anglo-saxons looks really good.

    2. Thanks for the offer. Maybe we can exchange a few figures? From your areas of interest I have, however, almost no figures. You can even just write to me what might be interesting for you.

  10. SalutSalut Sam,

  12. Thanks Peter for your walk in my blog!
(you were very busy this sunday!)
I'm re-using my magnifier (a new one with a good led-light) and I think that the next figures are better!
It was a bad time for the Anglo-Saxons.
