Figures for Michele finished! (quick shots)- VALDEMAR

This morning, Photobucket works!(see here )
I know that some of you are using other tools, but I'm accustomed with PB and I like the possibilities that I have with it.

Well,  stop with the discourse, here  are some quick shots I've done in the evening when the light was good enough!

Je sais que certains d'entre vous utilisent d'autres outils, mais je suis habitué avec PB et j'aime les possibilités que j'ai avec lui.

Eh bien, arrêtons avec le discours, voici quelques clichés rapides que j'ai fait le soir, quand la lumière était encore assez bonne!

I hope that Michele will be satisfied and that I could send them in good conditions (and quickly: he's waiting for them for finish his superb Diorama!)
As soon as I can (and I'll try to be fast) , I'll do some pictures, maybe in little sceneries.

I've a BIG problem with PHOTOBUCKET this night!!!!

I've finished the figures for Michele and I wanted to post some quick shots....

It seems that they have a problem with the servor, I've found that on the  Photobucket Customer Support Home:

The issues that we were seeing on the site over the past few days (503 error, images not showing up where linked out, gray boxes in the account or on the website, not being able to login, etc) have been fixed. Our engineers were able to rebuild the disk drive, and get the server up and running correctly.

W.I.P. Figures for MICHELE (VALDEMAR) Part II

(This post is about the work I'm doing for Michele  ( "Michigentile's Micro World")
for more informations, have a look at the Part I  !)

I don't know if I will finish to paint them this week because we planned to go a few days in Dordogne for visiting the "Grottes de Lascaux" and some others prehistoric sites.
(but the car is "out" and my wife twisted her ankle and can't walk a lot  so it's uncertain!).
I'm disappointed to miss the trip and also because I've no time before we go (if we do!) for painting and I've just some details and corrections to do!
   
Nevertheless, it's a good time to show what I've done: it's possible for you to give me some advices and critics, I can always use them in the finish line.

Je ne sais pas si je vais finir de les peindre cette semaine parce que nous avions prévu d'aller quelques jours en Dordogne pour visiter la "Grotte de Lascaux" et quelques autres sites préhistoriques. (Mais la voiture est "out" et ma femme s'est tordu la cheville et ne peut pas marcher beaucoup, alors c'est incertain!). je suis déçu pour le voyage et aussi parce que je n'ai pas de temps pour la peinture et je n'ai que quelques détails et corrections à faire!
Néanmoins, c'est un bon moment pour montrer ce que j'ai fait: il est possible pour vous de me donner quelques conseils et critiques, je peux toujours les utiliser dans la dernière ligne droite.

my wife has gone to the hospital and she has the bottom of the leg plastered !!!!

We don't know what we will do the next days with the plastered and only the small car (a 1992 VW convertible Golf) with 2 children, 2 tents, 4 inflating mattress 4 sleeping bags and baggage !!!!

Ma femme est allée à l'hôpital et elle a le bas de la jambe dans le plâtre!!

Nous ne savons pas ce que nous allons faire les prochains jours avec le plâtre et seulement la petite voiture (une VW Golf 1992 décapotable ) avec 2 enfants, 2 tentes, 4 matelas gonflants, 4 sacs de couchage et les bagages!!!!

WIP "In the House of Tom Bombadil" (MITHRIL MV375)

Just a quick post for a small review of 2 W.I.P

1- "In the House of Tom Bombadil" (vignette  MV375 from MITHRIL-Prince August)
(I'm not sure that it's necessary to say something about the faces: not sculpt with a lot of details=not easy to do!)

Tom Bomdabil is completely missed in the movies, even if:

"In The Lord of the Rings, Tom Bombadil is a mysterious character who aids Frodo and his companions on their journey. He and his wife Goldberry, the "Daughter of the River," still live in their house on the Withywindle, and some of the characters and situations from the original poem appear in The Lord of the Rings. In the book, he is described as "Master of wood, water and hill", and nearly always speaks or sings in stress-timed metre: 7-beat lines broken into groups of 4 and 3. He appears in three chapters, "The Old Forest", "In the House of Tom Bombadil", and "Fog on the Barrow-downs". He is mentioned in the chapter "The Council of Elrond" as a possible keeper and protector of the One Ring. He is mentioned at the end of the story in "Homeward Bound" and "The Grey Havens". Behind Bombadil's simple façade are hints of great knowledge and power, though limited to his own domain......" 

Even if I regret that P.Jackson "forgot him in the LOTR movies, I must admit that he's not very important in the narrative .... (but he's not a fighter and is too much poetic, maybe!)

Même si je regrette que P.Jackson l'ai "oublié" dans le Seigneur des Anneaux, je dois avouer qu'il n'est pas très important dans le récit .... (mais il n'est pas un combattant et il est trop poétique, peut-être!)

Figures for MICHELE (VALDEMAR) W.I.P. Part I

Some times ago, I've proposed to Michele ( "Michigentile's Micro World") who is doing a beautiful medieval dio: "The Day of the Tournament" (you can see all the steps on his blog), but he's not accustomed with painting figures (even he has done great improvements in his painting skill !)
The choice was not easy, because we wanted to use only Valdemar Miniatures!
They must be in metal, (resin is too breakable for the expedition) and .... I must have them!
I've select a little range of figures which could be appropriate for his project, and finally, Michele have chosen some. I've begun to paint them and I would like to show you how they look. If you have some advices about the colours or anything else, I will be very happy!
(sorry for the bad pictures: impossible to do them in daylight: 38° it's too hot for me!)

 Il y a quelques temps, j'ai proposé à Michele ( "Michigentile's Micro World") qui fait un dio médiévale: «Le jour du tournoi" (vous pouvez voir toutes les étapes sur son blog), mais il n'est pas habitué à la peinture chiffres (même s'il a fait de grandes améliorations dans son habileté peinture!)
Le choix n'était pas facile, parce que nous voulions utiliser uniquement des figurines Valdemar!

Elles devaient être en métal, (la résine est trop cassante pour l'expédition) et .... je devais les avoir! J'ai sélectionné une petite série qui pouvait être appropriée pour son projet, et enfin, Michele en a choisi quelques-unes. J'ai commencé à les peindre et j'aimerais vous montrer à quoi elles ressemblent. Si vous avez quelques conseils sur les couleurs ou tout autre chose, je serai très heureux!
(désolé pour les mauvaises photos: impossible de les faire en plein jour: 38 ° c'est trop chaud pour moi!)

"Anglo-Saxons Before Battle" (STRELETS)

I've finished my first STRELETS Anglo-Saxons set! (M050 PSR)
a quite nice set with 14 poses, it's enough to place in front of the "Normans Before Battle"  !!!
It's not a great painting job... but it was before I decided to re-use my magnifier glass !
(and the closed pictures don't serve me!)
Now, I'll do a break with the "Dark Ages", I've too much to do !

J'ai fini mon premier set STRELETS d'Anglo-Saxons! (M050 PSR)
un ensemble très agréable avec 14 poses, ça suffit pour placer en face d'eux, les  "Normans Before Battle" !
Ce n'est pas un travail de "grande peinture" ... mais c'était avant que je décide de ré-utiliser ma loupe!
(et les photos en gros plan ne me servent pas!)

Maintenant, je vais faire une pause avec les "Dark Ages", j'ai trop à faire!

"WAGON TRAIN" (DIO FINISHED!) AIRFIX

Hi everybody!

in my " holidays FTOP quest" ("Finish The Old Projects"!), I've just finished this one!
I've begun it 2 years ago (!) so the painting work is not exactly the same in both parts.
Nevertheless, I don't think that I will paint some AIRFIX before a long time!
The figures are not really fun to paint...except the wagons which are good to do!
(I'd particularly like the addition of tools, barrels, boxes on them and give them a canvas aspect to the cover)

Dans ma "quête de vacances FLAP" ("Finir Les Anciens Projets"!), je viens de terminer celui-ci! Je l'ai commencé il y a 2 ans (!) De sorte que le travail de peinture n'est pas exactement la même chose dans les deux parties. Néanmoins, je ne pense pas que je vais peindre des AIRFIX avant longtemps!Les figurines ne sont pas vraiment amusantes à peindre ... à l'exception des wagons qui sont agréables à faire! (J'ai particulièrement aimé l'ajout d'outils, de tonneaux, de caisses et donner un aspect "toilé" à la couverture)
