Figures for Michele finished! (quick shots)- VALDEMAR

This morning, Photobucket works!(see here )
I know that some of you are using other tools, but I'm accustomed with PB and I like the possibilities that I have with it.
For those who don't know the history of this humble work, you can see it here: W.I.P. Figures for Michele Part I and Part II and you can also visit the blog of my friend Michele: "Michigentile's Micro World"
Well,  stop with the discourse, here  are some quick shots I've done in the evening when the light was good enough!

Ce matin, Photobucket marche! (Voir ici )

I hope that Michele will be satisfied and that I could send them in good conditions (and quickly: he's waiting for them for finish his superb Diorama!)
As soon as I can (and I'll try to be fast) , I'll do some pictures, maybe in little sceneries.

I hope that I improve, and some "challenges" like this one is a good way for that.

  6. Yes, Sam, very very nice painting! If had had two sets of figures, you could have painted up a set for yourself. They are lovely.

    1. It's not useful: I think that they will have a good life in their new home!
(and they are from different sets, so it's always possible to have them if I have an own project.)

  8. nice ones, Samwise. When you paint some historical figures, do you do a research on which colours were worn and used in that period of time? I know there were some periods in history when certain colours weren't used at all. For example, Elizabethan England didn't use much blue colour (or none at all) in clothing.

    1. thanks my friend!
when I paint Middle Ages figures like civilians I don't really search an "historical accuracy", I've used the colours used by Michele for the soldiers, but that's all!
for knights it's more necessary: I can't paint a Teutonic knight in green with a blue cross !
I don't think that civilians were very colourful except the comedians or musicians!
And I could make some researches for the colours, it's a good idea!

    2. yep, the villagers and civilians didn't have money to dye their clothes, since dyes and colours were extremely expensive, so they made their clothes mostly out of plain white cloth.
But when it comes to knights and royalty, they did have a certain set of colours which they used in certain periods of history.

  9. These are some charming sculpts Pascal and you've done a fine job of painting them up. I like that oxen the best. The beasties are some of the best figures don't you think.

These will look great in your friends diorama!

the cow (it's a cow, Anne!) is very fine, a good figure!
The beasties are nice figures, that's right but not the easier ones to paint!
