1/72 and 28mm figures
MEDIEVAL / OLD WEST / FANTASY-LOTR
... and all what I like!
They look good! Why do you say they are not easy to paint?
Thanks David, not easy to paint because it's not easy to paint a bear and also because of the "shirt" of the man: the yellow is very difficult to shade !
Great work Sam!
Tu t'en tires très très bien avec cet ours. Les pelages me rendent toujours malades :(
Merci Stéphane, mais tu as raison, les pelages sont difficiles!
That's one of the best painted bears I've ever seen, really, well done!Hugh
Thanks Hugh! you makes me blush !
They may not be easy to paint but you´ve done a very good bit of brushwork on them..the bear especially.
Thanks Paul... if I could paint like you, it will be better!
What a lovely set and really well done Sam.
Thanks Michael !
I love bears and you did a fine job, Sam Wise. Dancing bears always bring tears to my eyes since I know how much they suffer and how they train them by torturing them. I support your Brigite Bardott who fights for the freeing of all the dancing bears whom you can still find around Europe especially in Gipsy groups.
Dezz, lot of "normal" people loves bears and other animals. I do. I ignored that there was in our times some dancing bears. The problem is that laws are not always respected! But i've painted (and Andi has sculpted it) to show the way of life in the Dark Ages (even if sometimes I think that it's always the dark-ages!)..it could be not very politically correct, but that's important to tell the true!
Un très joli ours bien léché...et très bien réalisé!Phil.
Merci Phil ... 'bien léché' mais sans doute très malheureux!
I especially love the bear Sam, nice work!
Well I love the figure and the bear, though I do not like people having dancing bears. maybe more so because ever since I was little my nickname was bear so that might have something to do with it.nice work! not nice subject.
Thanks Gowan, you're right: not a nice subject but if people have some "dancing bears", that's suppose that they live in dark-ages!(you can read my reply to Dezmond upside)Sometimes, some subjects affect us particularly, we don't always know why..
your right. still nice painting. perhaps this will raise awareness, not much but I am sure it will in some small way.
Great paint work on the bear and his handler, Sam.
Thanks Jay... but it's a poor bear!
Excellent !!! There was one bear in the Polish army: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojtek_%28soldier_bear%29
Thanks Pryzmek !interesting link and story! a very better use of a bear than the dancing bear!Animals have also been used for good things and with more respect, hopefully !
Oustanding work on the bear. Wonbderful!RegardsBruno
Thanks Bruno! in fact I like to paint animals: always difficult but always interesting...
