SOME LITTLE CONVERSIONS....

...... not really good ones, but it's a trail !
I need a small range of Strelets Order Knights and the problem is that the horses of the original sets don't have blankets!
So I decided to add some ones with paper-handkerchiefs and wood glue (diluted)
(honesty, in my opinion it's not good, so I'll try to do some more for improving the technique!)

here are the results:

I tried also to do something I've never done: change a head of a horse!!
The figure I used is this one (STRELETS "Army of Henry V ")
with the head of a generic Strelets horse:

I'll use too some others horses from different STRELETS sets...
More to see soon (I hope!)

  1. Hello Pascal, I'm planing a converison where I have to add a blanket on a horse too. But I will try to use the pastic package of the paper-handkerchiefs instead of the paper-handkerchiefs itself.

    1. The problem here is that I want a complete blanket on all the horse, but I must find a way to do it over the neck and the head!

  2. here is an idea... instead of using paper use tin-foil I have heard that that is a much better material for this sort of thing

  3. The things you guys can do with conversions is amazing to me. I would never think of any of these things. I hope these turn out great for you when painted.

    1. You know, Anne, that some guys do best conversions: I just add parts, cut and change heads: it's nothing!
I'll paint them like that, but I will try others ways!

  5. You are a brave man, Pascal! Good result too! I haven't had the courage to start converting yet. I have tried aliminium foil and it is a good idea! Made a cloak for a cowboy a long time ago at Benno's at it is a little shiny, but is probably the paint I used.
