So after: (1)"Radagast the Brown", (2) Thranduil, (3)"Bard of Lake-Town", (4) "The Great Goblin", and (5) Beorn, it's time to show the Hero of the Quest!!!
I must be honest, if I'm a little satisfied with the paint-work, I'm not with the face and mainly the eyes!
I will try to correct this defaults and other ones on all the figures of the range for the Final Picture!
Je dois être honnête, si je suis un peu satisfait du travail de peinture, je ne le suis pas avec le visage et les surtout les yeux !
Je vais essayer de corriger ce défaut et d'autres sur toutes les figurines de la série pour le tableau final!
Beorn=35mm and Bilbo=15mm !! |
The next ones will be :
-Gollum (finished)
-Elrond (finished)
-Thorin (finished)
-Galadriel (finished)
-A Hobbit Scout on Poney (finished)
and then:
-Gandalf and the Master of Laketown
I don't think that I will do more... but who knows?
and after : Back to the 1/72 !!!!
Hi, Sam. For such a small fella, he is sporting a very fine paint-covering, by the steady hand of "Sam-the Man!"
RépondreSupprimerBilbo's eyes may squinting to get a sharp focus on the path leading up to where he is hunkered-down. Could be.
Thanks Jay! but I think that you do good painting on smaller figures!
SupprimerThanks for the eyes! maybe... who knows?
Very nice figures and photography. Best wishing on the rest of the characters. Dean
RépondreSupprimerThanks Dean!
SupprimerI begin to see the end (?) of this project.
He looks good to me Pascal! Great work done!

Merci Peter!
SupprimerVery nice figures very good paint Sam ;)
RépondreSupprimerMerci Captain!(in french!)
SupprimerThe figure didn't help...
RépondreSupprimerI understand but the Mithril Hobbits are surprising: the faces look always like children's ones...
SupprimerHe looks fine to me Sam!
RépondreSupprimerHello Pascal, another lovely figure! I think in my comment to your previous post, something went wrong with my English .... ehmmmm ....... sure you were already good before that job, but now you're great! (This was the sense). A big hug
RépondreSupprimerThanks Michele!
SupprimerI was joking ! I know that it's not your English which as "good" as mine!
The painting looks very nice Pascal. You've done a great shading on the clothes! Looking forward to your next figures.
RépondreSupprimerRegards
Bruno
Thanks Bruno!
SupprimerEven it takes me a lot of time, it's easier for me to give the best I can with this scale and a single figure. It's different than with a group of 1/72 figures.
nice work sam! though the face is a bit odd
RépondreSupprimerThanks Gowan!
SupprimerI know for the face, but it's the MITHRIL style!
When working on a single figure rather than a unit, it takes more concentration, this I understand. I think he turned out just fine. He's so small that getting the eyes perfect would be difficult.
RépondreSupprimerVery much looking forward to the rest of this series. Gollum next?
Thanks Anne!
SupprimerI'm sure that you could be able to paint the eyes!
The next one? perhaps Gollum, but a GW figure, I have to redo the pictures.
great job, Samwise, can't wait to see my elven people Elrond and Galadriel!
RépondreSupprimerThanks Master Dezz!
SupprimerBefore, I will show Gollum, not very elvish !
(For Galadriel and Elrond I think that you will wait a little: I can't take good enough pictures!)
Eyes are always a problem...after my experiments with them I have stopped..too difficult to keep painting on every fig.
RépondreSupprimerLovely painting..as Bruno says..the shading is very good.
Cheers
paul
Thanks Paul!
Supprimerwhat I've seen with your painted eyes is not so bad!!
the problem with the Mithril figures is that the cavity of the eyes are not so ... visible!
I'm working a lot on the shading!
Don't have him! :-( But great to see him!
RépondreSupprimerBilbo is not a rare figure, you can find it easily on e-bay...
