MONK of the MONTH ! (August)

After some time without this little challenge, the Monk of the Month is coming back !

In fact, I've just finished it this month: I've had begun to paint it some time ago.

Monk from STRELETS "Crusader Transport 1" (PSR link )and the donkey/mule from Hat "El Cid Moorish Command" (PSR link )

HALFLING / HOBBIT SMOKING ...

It's almost the first figure that I've painted (and finished!) in my new house.
I've bought it in a small shop in my town but the seller didn't know exactly which is the manufacturer.
So if you have an idea.... thanks !

TLNW NEWS : Season II Making-of Exclusive pictures !

The Lost New World Season II is coming very soon ! 

When we were informed by Rose Tailleleur, the nice assistant of Samuel Lessage that he wanted to show us the setting of the backgrounds in the new Studio where will be filmed the 1rst Episode of the Season II, we were speechless !
Here are the pictures , they don't need any comments: it's just an awesome and great show !

"Room, sweet Room" !!

Hi everybody !
you know what ?
I'm Back !!
....after more than 1 month without blogging and more without painting !
I'm in a new life, a new home,
and in a new Hobby Room, of course!
It was the last room of the house that I've managed to arrange.
now, it's done, but it's very difficult to paint again,
but I will do !

In the same time, I was out the Blog-World and I apologize for that.
But I will try to read and comment your posts, all my faithful followers and friends.
(for some of you, I will have a lot to see: isn't it, my dear Jay ?)

This is an "old" work (finished in March, I think) but I show it only today because it takes part at a competition on "Benno's Forum" .
At the end, I was in the final round for the "Golden Brush" but my duellist was better than me !
Congrats to Konrad for his "Red Devils of Sekigihara" !

For this little dio (.. almost the biggest I've ever made!), I've used :
-the set "Cowboys at the Trail" from "Germania Figuren"
-The "Chuck Wagon" from IMEX
-The Horse from IMEX "Eastern Friendly Indians"
-the "longhorns" from "Toma Miniatures"
-the tree is home-made.

Why did you start blogging?
because I've started painting !! ... seriously  (hum), I have seen many friends on Benno's Forum starting the blog-adventures and I could not resist at the temptation... Weak I am.

....  parce que j'ai commencé à peindre! Sérieux ... (hum), j'ai vu beaucoup d'amis sur Benno's Forum commencer la blog-aventure et je n'ai pas pu résister à la tentation ... je suis faible.

 If you could change one thing about the [wargaming] hobby, what would it be? 
if it's just for me: having more time and be able to finish my projects !
if it's for The Hobby in general , well.. nothing !   Each person on Earth is free to do what he like with the skills he has, I'm not the Judge.
Si vous pouviez changer une chose dans le [wargaming] Hobby, quel serait-il?
 si c'est juste pour moi: avoir plus de temps et être en mesure de terminer mes projets!

Fame or fortune? neither fame nor fortune, I'm sure that there's something more interesting than that.  
Gloire ou fortune? ni la gloire, ni la fortune, je suis sûr qu'il y a quelque chose de plus intéressant que cela

What miniatures are you most proud of having painted? Definitively the Valdemar's set "the Death of a King" that I've painted for my beloved father after his death ...

Quelles miniatures êtes vous le plus fier d'avoir peintes ? Définitivement le set Valdemar "La mort d'un Roi" que j'ai peint en mémoire de mon père après sa mort ...

How do you deal with burn out? easily  : never burned out ! just a little bit stressed sometimes ...
Comment réagissez-vous au "burn out" ? facilement: je ne suis jamais "burned out" ! juste un peu stressé parfois ...

Why is a raven like a writing desk? Scott said that we have just to google it and I've not googled !
my idea is that the Black of the Raven is like the Blackboard where we can write with pieces of chalk.. words  could always be deleted.
Pourquoi un corbeau est-il comme un écritoire ? Scott dit que nous avons juste à le googler et je n'ai pas recherché sur Google ! mon idée est que le noir du corbeau est comme le tableau noir où l'on peut écrire avec des morceaux de craie .. les mots peuvent toujours être supprimés.

Star Wars or [Star Trek] LoTR? I've changed the 2nd movie because I've never seen Star Trek !!
I will just say that I've not read the Star Wars Books ...

If you could only buy from one miniature company from now on, which one would it be?
Valdemar  Miniatures if they could accept to do Fantasy (Tolkien World!)  and Old West figures ...

What is your favourite takeaway ? I think that it could be a "Fish and Chips" if I was living in Great Britain... In France: a simple sandwich with butter and row Ham and good bread.
Quelle est votre plat préféré à emporter? Je pense que cela pourrait être un "Fish and Chips" si je vivais en Grande-Bretagne ... En France: un simple sandwich avec du beurre, du jambon de campagne et du bon pain.

Trapper and Indian with Canoe (Hagen Miniaturen) EDIT

I've painted a small set of "Hagen Miniatures"
I've scratchbuilt the paddle because the one of the set was broken (or too small ?)
nice sculpt and I like the subject !

Pirates Islands : a new Ship !! + some updates (Monkth Challenge - Plastic Figures)

I've painted the "Pirates Ship II" (waiting for a real name !) after the "Pirate Ship I" 
for my "Pirates Islands".
Again a Toy Ship, only repainted, I will use it as a merchant Ship (I've removed one mast and sails for having more place . Maybe I will paint the 3rd Ship, a much larger one in the next weeks + some pirates figures !
J'ai peint le "Pirates Ship II" pour mes "Pirates Islands" . Je pense l'utiliser  comme Navire Marchand, aussi j'ai enlevé le 3ème mât pour faire de la place sur le pont. Simplement repeint.
Je m'attaquerais au 3ème bâteau dans les semaines qui viennent ainsi qu'à quelques pirates pour peupler tout ça !
